There are plenty of ski shops in Innsbruck or outdoor orientated stores that cater to your next winter adventure.

From sport stores that have multiple brands and equipment, to global favourites and luxury goods, Innsbruck has an excellent selection to choose from.

With the centre of Innsbruck being fairly compact, you can walk to most of them. I have tried to capture the large majority, but there will likely be a couple I have missed.

Intersport Okay

About 50 metres away from Sportler Alpin is Intersport Okay. A multi-level outdoor sports store with everything you could need to get out and about, in the mountains. Well stocked in the winter for you ski needs and equally strong in spring and summer for mountain biking, hiking and trail running. Brands like Atomic, Head, Fischer, Salomon, Blizzard, Volkl, K2 for skiers. Note this store is very ski heavy with limited snowboard equipment.

Sport Wolf

A specialist in alpine skiing, ski touring, and mountaineering, this store has been providing advice to locals and visitors since 1978. Knowledgeable and experienced staff with a care and attention to getting the right product or fit for the intended purpose. Please note there is no snowboard equipment on offer.

Blue Tomato

A well-known European chain and online store, especially in Austria and Germany, Blue Tomato in Innsbruck have a wide range of snowboard hard & soft goods. While the store very much lives in that skater, 90’s vibe, the equipment selection and products on offer, is very good.

Sport Garmshammer

Another well reviewed specialist outdoor store with an emphasis on ski touring, climbing and via ferrata. If you have more of a lean to ski touring, this store would be well worth a visit.

The American apparel store has what you would expect from a Patagonia flagship store, with plenty of winter gear (base, mid and outerwear), clothing and bags/luggage.

The North Face

Another flagship store with plenty of clothing and outerwear that is right at home in the Austrian Alps. More technical gear than their lifestyle range, but still plenty of options to consider.

Black Diamond

The Black Diamond store is very much geared towards ski touring, mountaineering and climbing. It totally makes sense that this store would thrive in a town (regional city?) like Innsbruck. Plenty of clothing and hard goods for your mountain adventures.

Burton

While not in central Innsbruck, the Burton flagship store and European headquarters is on the northern side of the river, a short drive or tram ride away. Featuring the latest season’s gear and hardgoods for snowboarders.

Mammut

Another store that leans towards the ski touring, mountaineering and climbing sphere. Lots of high end, technical equipment, from touring skis, climbing gear, crampons and avy gear, through to clothing, outerwear and boots.

Schoffel Lowa

The hiking shoe and apparel specialists out of Germany have a flagship store in Innsbruck. Plenty of gear and knowledgeable staff to get you well equipped.

Mons Royale

The base and mid layer specialists out of Wanaka, New Zealand have established a store (which was flagged as a pop-up, so maybe not a permanent location) with gear primarily for mountain adventures. Pretty much snow sports and mountain biking gear to keep you warm & cool when you are active out in the hills.

Maloja

The mountain lifestyle apparel specialists Maloja have a store in Innsbruck that caters to lifestyle gear. Called Endless Riding, they have a range of lifestyle gear, with some bags and gloves.

Bogner

Luxury ski wear brands Bogner also have a store in Innsbruck to elevate your ski wear both on the slopes and for après.

Ski Rental – Innsbruck

For those that need to get rental equipment in town, there are a couple of options to pick up your gear.

Die Boerse

Die Boerse is centrally located and fully stocked with both rental and new gear to select. Die Boerse also carry soft goods for hire, such as pants jacket and gloves.

Outside of Die Boerse, the bulk of rental locations are available closer to the nearby Innsbruck ski resorts.
